— The Wing Feather SagaAnimation is 99 % drudgery and 1 % talent. Therefore I like to claim that an animator needs to possess a good deal of patience. Most of Czech animators are raised on the grounds of artistic tradition of the animator Jiří Trnka; although individual view and narrow focus thrive nowadays, the more general specialization is still widely demanded. Nevertheless, I personally much prefer the quality of narrow focus to the quantity of broad scope. For an animator, it is much more important to understand the basic rules of animating his or her own ideas and drafts than to abandon them in favour of the established style.
